Last Tuesday was Heinel’s virtual graduation to officially end his grade school journey. While it had been nice for them (and us parents) tp experience the graduation rates in school wearing their Sunday best and toga, the situation calls for something different. Graduating at this time made me even prouder of Heinel and his batchmates for their resilience and adaptability with the challenges given at them with the unexpected end to their phyiscal classes. The disruption in their daily routine have been tough but with the help and guidance of their teachers and parents, they managed to complete the task at hand. Batch 2020 you are all amazing!
As it chapter ends in a book of life, a new one begins. Yesterday we officially enrolled Heinel as a Junior High School student. It also marks the starting point of his adventure in his new school. While the decision to transfer him has long been discussed by the family, we also took a stepback to reassess our options with the new realities of the academic year that we have to face. In the end, we made a decision that we feel will be most beneficial for our son. I know Heinel is sad to leave his friends behind but I am thankful that he trusts us, his parents, in making this decision for him. It means a lot to us to have his support.
I guess it is safe to say now that I am pretty emotional about this. Milestones are such major tearjerkers for moms
