Finally, It Is 2021!

Of all the years that came, 2021 is probably the most anticipated one, at least for our generation. With the kind of year 2020, we all can not help but wish we can fast forward for it to end. And now it is finally here!
With anticipation comes the preparation. I mean, come on ,we did not wait for it to arrive just to let it come in without a full welcome, right? We did not miss out on following traditions in welcoming the New Year; from having round fruits (for financial prosperity), seafood (as water signifies overflowing blessings) and sticky kakanin (for all the positive energy to stick to us for the whole year) for Media Noche, to filling all food containers to the brim and wearing lucky colors for the upcoming year, all in the spirit of hoping to bring in good energy for 2021. Some of these beliefs may be true or not, but it adds to the fun and excitement to the celebration. While we have most of these, the most important of all is to welcome the new year with a prayer; for the year that was, no matter how hard it has been, and for guidance and protection for the new one and hope 2021.

What are your usual New Year’s traditions?

From our home to yours, Happy New Year! May 2021 be a year full of happy adventures to you and all those you hold dearly in your hearts!
