Weekend well-spent at one of the biggest waterparks in Asia, Aqua Planet! We are so thrilled that we finally have a waterpark that is at par with international counterparts.
Each member of the family will have something to love here. From whimsical and interactive kiddie area for little kids, to the exciting Wave Pool and Wave River for bigger kids like our Heinel, and extreme water slides for the thrill seekers!
The park is open from 9am to 5pm only so make sure to come early to maximize your time and avoid the crowds. Tickets are available on-site. But if you want to buy tickets in advance, it is available on Klook (this is not an advertisement). At the time of posting this blog, on-line tickets are only available on that site.
At the ticket redemption booth, each guest will be given an RFID wristband. Aside from entry to the park, the wristband will also be used any purchases inside such as food, beverages and souvenir items. The wristband is reloadable. Any unused load can be refunded at the cashier. Just make sure to do so before returning your wristband prior to going home.
Guests are not allowed bring food, water and swimming equipment such as lifesavers. For the food, there are several stores inside the park that sells snacks and meals. However, for guests like Hendrix who has different food requirements for medical reasons , we were allowed to bring in his own meals. As for the gears, each slide has its own station for lifesavers and swimming vests that comes in all sizes.
My notes on the waterpark are as follows:
1. Great facilities- Aqua Planet has impressive and clean facilities; from its pools, slides, to shower rooms and bathrooms, even the parking lot is great. I am just hoping that the management will be able to keep this up even years after opening.
2. Safety is their concern – there are a number of lifeguards in each of the attractions. Also, there are free life vests which guests are recommended to use. It comes in all sizes so each member of the family has one. The lifeguards are very strict when it comes to wearing one which is a thumbs up for me.
3. Great customer service – attendants are all over the park and are very attentive!
4. Food = The only setback for me is the food in which the taste does not match the price. We ordered pizza, halo-halo and nachos, all of which tastes bland and mediocre. Definitely not what we expected based on the amount we paid for. I really hope they can improve on this.
Overall it was a fun weekend at Aqua Planet. Our kids had fun, which is our main goal. The park definitely exceeded our expectations.
