Sharing MY READING LIST

Reading is a sanctuary to me. I am the type who gets excited about going to bookstores and checking out new books that I can read, even making mental notes of what to buy when I come back (haha!). This love for reading, I give credits to my mom. Growing up, watching the television is a luxury that we enjoy only on Friday nights up until Sunday noon. To keep us busy, we always indulge into books. Back then I remember even saving up my weekly allowance to buy books. I always have that anticipation for my next trip to the bookstore with my wallet filed with the exact amount of money needed to buy my book in mind.

Nowadays, technology is allowing us to have copies of our books in our phones or tablets. It is convenient, and really, it gives us no excuse not read. However, in my case, I still prefer having a paperback on my hands and browsing through pages. I get a thrill whenever a flip a page anticipating what is ahead. This is why I always carry around a book with me most of the time. Some days, especially when I’m at work, it can get really busy that I do not have time to flip a page or two, but somehow having a book in my bag comforts me. It is like my security blanket because I know that if things get too tiring or stressful, I can “steal” a few minutes, and be in a different place through my book.

I often get asked for book recommendations. I have read quite a number and sadly, I tend to forget a few good ones which are worth recommending to others. It is for this reason that I decided to come up with my “Reading List” in my blog. I intend to share those which I personally got the chance to read. It is actually very exciting for me and I’m looking forward to sharing with you guys my favorites. Do not worry, I will not go around spoiling them, most especially the thrilling parts and ending. It will be just a friend telling you why it will be worth your time to check out.

So to give you a glimpse, here are some of my books which are in my “current” pile, meaning the ones who are within reach and the ones I have read countless of times. Can you spot a personal favorite?

I am looking forward to sharing my reading adventures! Hope to hear yours too!
