Loving Long Weekends

For working parents like me and my husband, we always look forward to weekends because it is the time that we get to spend exclusively with our kids. Each week we look forward to Saturdays and Sundays. So it is a double treat when long weekends happen!

Our weekends are usually very busy and bustling with activities such as doctor’s appointment and therapies for Hendrix or school activities for Heinel and of course hearing mass. Fun time begins for my two boys as we go strolling at the mall to have lunch.

For weekends like this with no school work (yahoo!) despite having a 3-day break, it is endless time to play. Heinel is very fond of his Lego nowadays. which I very much approve of because it encourages creativity and imagination.

He is also very much into Monopoly. As we go along with the board game, we also teach him about handling money, and some investment tips and tricks. As they say, it is never too early to start learning for your future, right? I guess it is second nature to us since his dad and I are both accountants.

These 3-day weekend is going to be so much fun and we looking forward to it! How about you, what are your favorite activities with your families during weekends?

What a lovely post! So lovely to see parents looking forward to spending time with their children! My daughter has been off nursery for 2 weeks so this weekend is the end of our holidays before she goes back on Tuesday. We’re having a lazy time ready for the mad rush of Tuesday morning!
